Seminar on EuroRMB
Wednesday 15 October 2014In 2009, China announced its ambitious plans to allow its
currency RMB to be used more extensively in cross-border trade,
investment, financial transactions, and eventually as an
international reserve currency. Since then a lot of progress has
been achieved in this area, commonly known as “RMB
internationalization”. What does China want to achieve for its
currency in the medium and long term? What does it mean for global
business, financial services and all of our ordinary people in
Germany? How shall the German economy profit from these
developments? Is this an opportunity or a threat for Europe? Will
RMB challenge the international leadership of USD and Euro? Bring
your questions directly to six Chinese experts on the podium.
House of Finance, Goethe-Universität is proud to present a
seminar on EuroRMB, together with our Chinese partner -
International Monetary Institute (IMI) of Renmin University of
China. Please join us in this half-day event, featuring leading
experts and industry practitioners from China and Germany. This is
the first time that a Chinese think-tank has embarked on a roadshow
in Europe on this important subject, an opportunity you don't want
to miss!
