Mrs Johanna ORTH
Johanna Orth is Head of Group Regulatory Affairs at SEB since December 2022, where she is leading a newly established function under the Deputy CEO & President.
In this role her assignment includes advising members of the Group Executive Committee of SEB on regulatory policy matters, as well as understanding the impact of legislative and regulatory developments on SEB’s customers and business. She actively participates in the debate on regulatory developments in the EU and in other markets where SEB is present. Johanna is a Member of the EBA Banking Stakeholder Group since 2020. Johanna also represents SEB in several industry committees and working groups of associations such as the European Banking Federation, the Swedish Bankers’ Association and the Institute for International Finance, IIF.
Before joining SEB, Johanna worked for 6 years as Head of Group Regulatory Affairs in Swedbank, and for 5 years as a Senior Advisor for the Swedish Bankers’ Association. Before that, she held different roles in the Swedish Government Offices, both in the Ministry of Finance and in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. During this time, she was the Deputy Head of the Banking Division at the Swedish Ministry of Finance and Head of Delegation of Sweden to the Financial Action Task Force, FATF. She started her career in an investment bank after she absolved her Masters’ degree in Economics & Finance from Lund University and had studied finance at the University of Mannheim.
