Thierry Derez, born in 1957, has been the Chairman and CEO of Covéa since 2008. Covéa combines:

- Assurances Mutuelles de France (AM), the Chairman of which he has been since 2001,

- Garantie Mutuelle des Fonctionnaires (GMF) of which he is Chairman and CEO since 2001,

- MAAF Assurances the Chairman and CEO of which he has been since 2005,

- MMA which he has chaired since 2007.

Thierry Derez is Director of SCOR SE since april 2013.

Thierry Derez was a lawyer at the Court of Appeal of Paris from 1981 to 1994.

He is also former Conference Secretary.
