Barbara Gabor has a Ph.D. in law from the European University Institute in Florence. She has worked for the European Commission (DG Internal Market and Services and DG Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union) since 2008. Her work involved the preparation of impact assessments for upcoming legislative initiatives in financial markets and policy development on securities markets, focusing on crowdfunding and market abuse. She was lecturer at Tilburg University between 2006 and 2008 and she is author of the book "Regulatory Competition in the Internal Market" published in 2013 by Edward Elgar.
