Mme Iris LUCAS
Iris Lucas, holding an engineering degree from the School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECE Paris, France), also earned a Ph.D. in Computational Finance from the University of Le Havre (France). Since January 2021, she has been serving as the Head of the Data Intelligence unit within the Data and Market Surveillance department at the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF).
Her academic journey, blending a strong engineering background with profound expertise in computational finance, laid the foundation for her career focused on quantitative analysis and market manipulation detection. Over the years, she has gained an in-depth understanding of the proper functioning of financial markets, particularly in the field of market microstructure.
As the Head of the Data Intelligence unit, which combines data science proficiency with market expertise, Iris oversees not only aspects related to market manipulation detection but also plays a central role in the development and deployment of artificial intelligence-based tools to assist AMF teams in their missions.
